After a long period of silence, The Douglas Report is reactivated.

Not that the intervening period has been boring – the family has visited Mexico, the US, NZ, Israel, India and the UK since my last post and I returned to a delightful three weeks in Cairo in May of 2007.

But the spotlight has changed and tomorrow I embark on a six month journey – based in Rome.

I will keep you up to date and try to include plenty of photographs.
